National Pump Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Wil Hahn has detailed his straightforward transition to Australia as he prepares to line-up for the 2016 Australian Supercross Championship.

Slated as a serious championship contender, the American will continue to ride the 2017 Kawasaki KX450F in which has been testing in the US, leaving the 26-year-old to admit that the transition has been as smooth as possible.

“Everyone here has welcomed me with open arms and it made the transition really easy,” Hahn said. “Obviously the bike is really good, that made it easy to come from the US over here stepping on to a really good platform. I couldn’t be more excited, the team has made it as easy as they possibly could.”

Hahn, who is a former Monster Energy Supercross Eastern Regional 250SX champion, expressed his excitement to commence racing this weekend after spending much of the week adjusting to the conditions in Australia.

“We flew over last Sunday and just got acclimated with everything,” he continued. “I got to ride the last few days doing a bit of testing and basically just settling in and getting used to the time difference more than anything. I’m starting to come around now and I’m just excited to go racing.”

The opening round of the Australian Supercross Championship is scheduled to take place under the lights of Jimboomba Stadium tomorrow night in Queensland.
