Raceline Pirelli KTM:
Raceline Pirelli KTM’s Wade Kirkland and Dylan Wills have put the finishing touches on their training, and are headed to sandy Coolum for the final round of the 2016 MX Nationals this weekend, August 27-28.
After an eventful round at Toowoomba less than one week ago, both Wills and Kirkland have reset and recharged ahead of a championship deciding round of racing on the Sunshine Coast this Sunday, with both riders confident ahead of the team’s final motocross outing of the year.
For MX2 rider Wills, the final round at Coolum is another chance to enjoy being on his KTM machine, and shared that he’s looking forward to racing in the sand before focussing his attention on Supercross.
“I’m really looking forward to this round, we’ve got the last outing of the season this weekend in Coolum, and it’s always a fun time for us riders,” he said.
“I’ve had an awesome year with the team so far, and I’d love to give them one last positive result in motocross at Coolum.
“I’m looking forward to finishing this year off on a good note before we head in to Supercross!”
Pirelli MXD pilot Kirkland, who despite a tough opening moto at Toowoomba raced to an impressive second in race two, says that he’ll be having one final dig at the championship on Sunday.
“Last round we lost a bunch of points in the first moto and I slipped back to fourth in the championship, so this weekend I’m hoping to put two clean races in, and hopefully that will see me finish on the podium,” Kirkland shared.
“I enjoy riding in the sand, and Coolum is known for getting deep and rough which I’m looking forward to.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time with the team so far this year, so I’d love to finish off the motocross season with another solid result for them.”
