Woodstock Honda Thor Racing’s Todd Waters will return to action at the fourth round of the Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship, in Canberra this weekend.
The Pro Open class rookie opened his 2009 season in stunning form at the MX Nationals with victory at the opening round in Albury, before a crushing ankle injury at the Mackay round ruled him out of the season.
After a number of surgeries to assist the injury in healing, Waters will make his Super X debut for the year and is looking forward to the opportunity to return to racing on his CRF450R.
“It was a tough injury to deal with and it was really the first time I have had to go through something like this,” said Waters. “I made sure that I used my time wisely though while I was off the bike and put a lot into both my physical and mental training to make sure that I come back a better all round racer.”
Waters has been back on the bike for over three weeks, riding with team boss Yarrive Konsky today in his final preparations before the race weekend takes place on Saturday evening.
