Multiple Australian champion Matt Moss has revealed he will sit out Sunday’s seventh round of the 2016 Motul MX Nationals at Conondale.

Moss announced via social media that he will miss the round, citing ‘personal issues’, but plans on resuming his title-chase during round eight.

While details on his decision remain scarce, the move could effectively rule him out of championship contention, currently 28 points behind red plate holder Kirk Gibbs with four rounds remaining.

It is uncertain whether Moss’ twin brother Jake will line up in the MX2 class on Sunday. Stay tuned for more when we have it.
