Phillips maintains outright and class world title leads.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Mathias Bellino scored a clean-sweep in the 2016 Enduro World Championship GP of Euskadi in Gordexola over the weekend, as Australia’s Matt Phillips maintained his EnduroGP and E2 class championship advantage.
Bellino was unbeaten across the two days on board his FE 450 to win both the EnduroGP and E2 divisions, while Sherco factory racer Phillips went 5-5 overall for the round in a consistent showing.
Behind Bellino on Saturday during the opening day overall was Alex Salvini (Beta) and Manuel Monni (TM), while on Sunday he was joined on the podium by Loic Larrieu (Yamaha) with Nathan Watson (KTM).
With the seventh and penultimate round of the season coming up at Fabriano in Italy on 16-17 July, Phillips now enjoys a 28-point lead in the EnduroGP category and is ahead by 33 points in the E2 ranks.
