Motul MX Nationals series heads to Nowra in New South Wales.
Round six of the 2016 Motul MX Nationals is set to take place at the Nowra Motocross Track, this round will will see riders return to a hard-pack surface following multiple sand-based events.
Form
Our picks:
Kirk Gibbs (MX1) – At this point in the season it is hard to go past Kirk Gibbs as the favourite at almost any event. The KTM Motocross Racing Team rider is leading the championship chase and has his program dialled in currently.
Nathan Crawford (MX2) – The Husqvarna rider is in fine form at the mid-point of the season and currently holds the MX2 red plate for the first time in his career. Will he be challenged? Oh yes he will, but you can expect Crawford to be firing on Sunday.
Next best:
Matt Moss (MX1) – This is Moss’ home round and he has made it clear that he wants to sweep this entire event and take a run at this 2016 premier class title. Moss comes in to Nowra off the back of a solid second place finish in Wanneroo and a strong mid-season break.
Caleb Ward (MX2) – KTM Motocross Racing Team’s Caleb Ward will be fast in Nowra, he’s got points to make up and you can bet your bottom dollar he’ll be right up front all day long.
Outside chances:
Dean Ferris (MX1) – Although Ferris took a huge fall at Wanneroo, he has announced that he’s back to 100 percent health and ready to go. We all know Ferris is fast on any surface, so be sure to keep an eye on him.
Jed Beaton (MX2) – The DPH Motorsport rider lost the red plate heading into the mid-season break and will have lit a fire under Beaton to battle his way back to the top.
Watch for:
MX1 – Todd Waters, Dan Reardon, Kade Mosig, Jay Wilson, Dylan Long
MX2 – Jayden Rykers, Jake Moss, Dylan Wills, Wilson Todd, Kyle Webster
