CDR Yamaha’s Dan Reardon will enter the second half of the 2016 Motul MX Nationals inspired to get his season back on track after battling illness during rounds four and five of the championship.

The MX1 contender’s health issues saw him sit out moto two in Murray Bridge before the decision was made to miss the entire Wanneroo event in order to ensure a full recovery.

Reardon set off to the United States during the mid-season break to train with some of the best riders in the world in the Southern California area; the annual training trip inspiring the Queenslander to push forward in his troubled 2016 campaign.

“I have had an awesome time in the United States,” said Reardon. “I was able to put in a lot of hours riding on good tracks with plenty of fast guys.”

Reardon looks forward to getting his season back on track at this weekend’s military themed event in Nowra as he returns as the defending round champion following a 2015 victory.

“I feel the trip always works for me and inspires me to keep putting in the effort, so I’m excited to go to Nowra and get my results and season back on track,” he added.

Reardon currently sits 13th overall in the premier class championship standings with five rounds remaining on the 2016 calendar.
