Lawrence fourth in opening EMX250 race of the weekend.
Honda Gariboldi’s Tim Gajser and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jeffrey Herlings continued their incredible form at Kegums in Latvia during the qualifying heats on Saturday.
In MXGP, Gajser snatched the lead from Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Antonio Cairoli in the final stages of the race to take his third consecutive qualifying race win.
Behind the top two was leading Monster Energy Yamaha Jeremy Van Horebeek, as teammate Romain Febvre was fifth. Meanwhile Team Suzuki World MXGP’s Ben Townley made his return to the championship with a seventh.
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jeffrey Herlings remains unbeaten making it six from six in MX2, leading home Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Pauls Jonass and Team Suzuki World MX2’s Jeremy Seewer.
Adding to the action of the sixth round was the first races of second round of the European Championship EMX250, which was won by Bodo Schmidt Husqvarna’s Thomas Kjer Olsen, with Australia’s Hunter Lawrence (Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team) fourth.
