DPH Motorsport press release:
Anticipation builds with round one of the MX Nationals Series this coming weekend in Horsham Victoria. With almost four months separating last years Australian Supercross and round 1, there have been countless hours of training, tuning and riding in preparation for this season and the DPH team is excited to see the results.
Both DPH boys had impressive off seasons overseas with Jed heading across the ditch to New Zealand where he worked closely with Josh Coppins as part of the JCR team. Jed had an outstanding four rounds, unfortunately only narrowly missing out on top spot of the podium to finish second in the MX Nationals Series.
“I felt I gave myself the best preparation I could of by going to New Zealand. I’ve done plenty of gate drops and am feeling fresh and ready to go for the weekend” said Beaton.
Lawson’s break included a trip to the USA where he competed in the first five AMA Supercross rounds in the 450SX class. Proving a force to be reckoned with, he made the main event in four rounds before unfortunately taking a hard hit in practice and ended up dislocating his shoulder.
Regardless of the injury, Lawson came away with a career best USA finish of 16th. “I’m looking forward to racing again, the break has been too long for my likings” said Bopping.
DPH Yamaha Motorsports begin their assault on the 2016 Motocross Championship at Round 1 in Horsham, Victoria on Sunday 3rd April 2016.
