Aussie off-road ace claims Georgia victory, Milner seventh.
Australia’s Josh Strang captured his second consecutive Amsoil Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) XC1 Pro victory for 2016 at round two of the series in Sparta, Georgia.
The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing/Bel-Ray rider finished over 40 seconds ahead of his closest rival and defending series champion Kailub Russel.
Russel, aboard his FMF/KTM Factory Racing entry, took a comfortable second place finish with nearly a three-minute gap between himself and third place rider Steward Baylor.
After kicking off his rookie GNCC season with a second place at round one, Strang’s fellow countryman, Daniel Milner, was seventh aboard his N-Fab/AmPro Yamaha in Georgia.
In the XC2 Pro Lites category it was JCR/Honda’s Trevor Bollinger who claimed his second straight victory in the small-bore category, finishing two minutes ahead of his closest rival Jesse Groemm in second, followed by Layne Michael in third.
The 2016 GNCC series will make its way to Morganton, North Carolina, on 2-3 April for round three of the 13-round championship.
