Just days after signing a two-year deal with MAD Racing Dirt Candy Suzuki, Australian Luke Clout has sustained a broken right femur in practice at Oakland.

The 21-year-old finished 14th on debut at Anaheim 2 one week ago, earning a long-term contract in the US, but will be sidelined for the immediate future.

It’s a tough break for Clout, who also broke his femur in Australia during 2013. He was seventh quickest overall in the opening sessions at Oakland prior to his incident.
