Monster Energy CDR Yamaha has secured Jed Beaton through the 2027 season in a two-year extension formally announced at Appin’s second round of ProMX this afternoon.

Beaton joined Craig Dack Racing (CDR) last year and finished runner-up in the national MX1 standings, before impressing in Australian Supercross with P4 in SX1.

The pair currently hold the red plate in ProMX after winning at Wonthaggi, agreeing to terms in a contract that will see him through 2026 and 2027 onboard the YZ450F.

“Despite it only being just over a season so far, my time with the Monster Energy CDR Yamaha team has been some of the most enjoyable and rewarding in my career,” Beaton commented. “The team are ultra professional in every aspect and their desire to win and achieve success is just as strong as mine.

“2024 was a solid year and, although I was disappointed not to get the ProMX championship, I believe we have already made progress since then and the faith the team showed in me for supercross confirmed this is my racing home. I’m pumped to get the deal done so early in the season, so now I can focus on racing and am excited to be part of the Monster Energy CDR Yamaha team for the next two seasons.”

Dack added: “I really like the way Jed goes about it. He presents professional, is fit and dedicated in his racing and training and gives you all he has every time he is on the track. These are the ingredients of every successful rider and on top of that, I believe Jed’s best years are still to come.

“He showed he was willing to learn and do the work to become at good at supercross, his motocross skills are already at an extremely high level and being 27 years of age, he is in the prime of his career in terms of strength, maturity and physicality.

“It has been rewarding to work with Jed, and I believe we are just scratching the surface of what he and the team can achieve. It’s a great story that as a kid, Jed was always hanging over the CDR fence at races and talking with the team, to now where we are chasing championships in the prime of his career together nearly 20 years later.

“I’m also thankful to our team partners who have again committed to CDR for several seasons to allow us to plan for the future. We have multi-year deals in place with Yamaha, Monster Energy, Yamalube, GYTR and Fox, so we are well-placed for the next few seasons and look forward to working with Jed.”
