The World Supercross Australian Grand Prix will debut on the Gold Coast at Cbus Super Stadium in 2025, reverting to the east coast following a single year in Perth.

Australia has been a fixture in the World Supercross Championship (WSX) since SX Global took control in 2022, first appearing within Marvel Stadium in Melbourne for two years prior to shifting to Western Australia last season.

Despite what was deemed a successful – and largely unique – event in Perth, WSX will arrive in Queensland for the first time later this year alongside previously announced locations in South Africa, Great Britain and Argentina. With any dates yet to be released, a complete calendar is expected to be released next month.

“I absolutely loved being down on the west coast last season – the fans were fantastic and we know the passion of Australia’s supercross fans runs deep across the country,” commented WSX CEO Tom Burwell.

“So that’s why we’re bringing World Supercross to the Gold Coast, offering a chance for even more local fans to experience the world’s best riders in action up close. At an incredible venue, in front of what I’m sure will be an electric crowd, I can’t wait to see the racing unfold on yet another continent on our calendar – bring it on.”

Last year saw eventual champions Eli Tomac (WSX) and Shane McElrath (SX2) clinch victory in Western Australia.
