Recently-crowned SX3 champion Seth Burchell will remain WBR Yamaha-supported throughout 2025 as he makes his transition into MX2, outlining plans to step up to the pro ranks in a satellite program.

WBR will continue as the official MX3 and SX3 team for Yamaha Motor Australia, fielding Koby Hantis, team newcomer Ky Woods and Madi Simpson (MXW) this season.

“After winning the SX3 championship, I took a few weeks off racing to work out what I wanted to do,” said Burchell. “I love racing, but I also don’t want to waste anyone’s time, so I worked with Travis [Whitten] to put something in place that would work for both of us, and he has been awesome in getting it done. We have some great sponsors on board, and I’m already hard at work preparing for the season.”

After missing the opening round of the season, Burchell finished the Penrite ProMX Championship seventh in the MX3 standings last year before having a breakout Fox Australian Supercross Championship, where he clinched the SX3 title with double wins in Redcliffe.
