Western Australian 'more motivated than ever' ahead of 2025 season.
Raceline Husqvarna TDub Racing Team has revealed that Regan Duffy will join its three-rider line-up for 2025, set to contest MX1 alongside Todd Waters, while Rhys Budd returns for his second term with the team in MX2.
Duffy – who chose to sit out last season in a bid to get back to full health – says he’s ‘more motivated than ever’ as he looks to return to the form that saw him challenging for the MX1 title in 2021.
“I’m incredibly excited to be back with Raceline Husqvarna TDub Racing,” said Duffy. “It feels like the perfect fit and I’m grateful for the opportunity to join this team.
“After a year off to get healthy, I’m more motivated than ever to push hard this season. Teammates like Todd and Rhys are a big bonus – both are outstanding riders, and I know we’ll push each other to new heights.”
The Western Australian is no stranger to both Raceline and Todd Waters-run teams, winning the 2019 MX3 title under the previous Raceline ownership before joining Waters’ Husqvarna effort in 2020 prior to the pandemic cancelations.
After sustaining life-threatening injuries in 2021, Duffy made a comeback to ProMX in 2023, riding for the now-defunct GasGas Racing Team. However, it was a challenging year for the number 72, who suffered a pre-season injury and then crashed at the final round in Coolum, ending his outdoor campaign prematurely.
Then, while preparing for the AUSX championship, Duffy’s supercross campaign was cut short before the first gate-drop, following a broken wrist sustained during the team’s photoshoot and he hasn’t competed at the national level since.
