Quad Lock has extended its backing of the Australian champion Honda Racing team to Monster Energy Supercross ahead of the 2025 season-opener at Anaheim, fielding Joey Savatgy and Shane McElrath in 450SX.

Savatgy clinched last year’s SX1 title on debut and McElrath was dominant in SX2, landing an opportunity with Yarrive Konsky’s US-based organisation in the premier class.

A global leader in innovative mounting systems for smartphones and devices, Quad Lock was associated with Honda in the Australian Supercross Championship (AUSX) late last year, and team principal Martin Davalos welcomed the brand to the sport in America.

“This is a significant milestone for our team and the sport,” said Davalos. “Quad Lock’s commitment to supporting teams and athletes globally is evident, and their leadership in the market aligns perfectly with our goals. We’re excited about what we can achieve together.”

Quad Lock sports marketing leader Dom Storey added: “Partnering with a team of such strong reputation in American Supercross and motocross is an incredible opportunity. As we expand Quad Lock’s presence in the North American market, this collaboration will significantly boost our visibility among moto and powersports enthusiasts.”

Savatgy had previously been confirmed for the team in 2025, while McElrath – also the reigning SX2 world champion – was a late addition following his success in the AUSX championship. Anaheim 1 will mark his debut with the team onboard a CRF450R in the premier class.

As part of their alliance, the Quad Lock Honda Team will give away a Joey Savatgy Race Replica CRF450R at the end of the Supercross Championship, along with other exciting Quad Lock prizes. Details on the competition and a 15 percent product discount can be found at www.quadlock.com.
