Australian to debut in 2025 Monster Energy Supercross Championship.
ClubMX has called Reid Taylor to fill in with the team for the 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship, set to contest 250SX East onboard Yamaha machinery.
Taylor, 21, will travel to South Carolina next week as a replacement rider for recent signing Devin Simonson while he recovers from a wrist injury sustained during the current pre-season.
“I am truly grateful for the opportunity to join ClubMX for the AMA Eastern Regional Championship,” Taylor explained. “I’m excited to work with the world-class team and train again at such an industry-leading facility alongside some of the best riders and coaches in the world. I look forward to learning from everyone, working together, and growing as a rider in 2025.”
ClubMX owner Brandon Hass added: “When Reid was training here last year, we could see some level of talent as he adapted to our supercross tracks. Watching him in Australia this year, we could see he has really developed into a good racer. We have some time to work with him before we get to Tampa and we will be spending that time wisely.”
Taylor will be teamed with Max Vohland and Mark Fineis on the east coast, while ClubMX’s 250SX West line-up will feature Coty Schock and Jett Reynolds. The Australian ProMX Championship is scheduled to commence at Wonthaggi between March 22-23 – the same weekend as round five of 250SX East in Birmingham.
It’s been a turbulent few weeks for Taylor, first making headlines for an overnight switch from his usual KX250 to CDR Yamaha during the WSX Australian Grand Prix in Perth, before a more recent split with Empire Kawasaki saw Taylor’s future up in the air prior to being drafted by ClubMX.
