Queenslander set for Supercross and Pro Motocross in 2025.
Australian prospect Brad West will make his full-time debut in Monster Energy Supercross for 2025, set to enter the 250SX West region after landing a deal with BarX Yamaha.
West, 20, has been based in the US for the majority of his professional career and this newfound opportunity with BarX – which formerly fielded Suzuki machinery – will extend through Pro Motocross.
“I always knew I wanted to be in the US and my dream lies here, so that’s what I wanted to point towards,” said the Queenslander. “The transition has been on and off with injuries and health issues, just a constant grind to try be seen and to keep getting good results.
“I’ve been riding Yamahas for two or three years, doing the Loretta’s qualifiers, and getting my name heard. Word spreads pretty quickly and I’m excited for the opportunity. I’d like to be in the top 10, top 12-ish type area, but we will see at A1.”
Last season saw West debut in Supercross on a part-time schedule where he managed to score a point in Denver, and then he impressed in a limited 450MX schedule – circulating within the top 10 for a number of laps during the opening moto of the outdoors at Fox Raceway.
