New South Wales venue rejoins national championship for the first time since 2017.
Nowra is set to return to national-level racing after being added to the 2025 Penrite ProMX Championship calendar, the New South Wales venue due to host round six on 6 July next year.
Based in the south coast region of New South Wales, the Nowra and Districts Motorcycle Club previously hosted the Australian motocross championship – formerly known as the MX Nationals – in 2017.
The circuit joins Appin as a returning venue to the championship, with both locations making up the two New South Wales stops of next year’s championship.
“It’s great to see Nowra on the 2025 calendar as we welcome new tracks into the ProMX fold,” said Motorcycling Australia CEO Peter Doyle. “With the return of Appin already announced, two rounds of the 2025 ProMX will be held in New South Wales on tracks that we know will showcase the incredibly huge depth of talent across all classes in the championship.
“Thanks to the Nowra and Districts Motorcycle Club for its assistance in bringing ProMX back to the Nowra district, where motocross has always enjoyed a strong presence.”
The remainder of the 2025 ProMX calendar is set to be announced this week following the confirmation of Wonthaggi, Appin, Gillman, Warwick, and Nowra.
