A return to the winner’s circle at MX Farm has put Kyle Webster in the MX1 box seat leading into the 2024 Penrite ProMX Championship finals, going 1-2 to claim his fifth overall of the year.

The Boost Mobile Honda Racing rider capitalised on misfortune for title rival Jed Beaton (CDR Yamaha Monster Energy) in moto one, after the latter went down in the first turn and could only manage P6.

Webster’s eventual 1-2 results sheet saw him win the round over Beaton – who rebounded to take the chequered flag in moto two – and Kirk Gibbs (GasGas Racing Team), which will see Webster carry a 14-point advantage into Queensland Moto Park’s final round next weekend.

Fourth was Luke Clout (Empire Kawasaki) after claiming 2-5 results, while privateer Zac Watson (Husqvarna) filled the top five, using consistency for a solid overall with a high of sixth in the final encounter.

New Zealander Maximus Purvis (WBR Bulk Nutrients Yamaha) was impressive on his way to P6, followed by Todd Waters (Raceline Husqvarna Racing Team), Caleb Ward (Husqvarna), Nathan Crawford (KTM Racing Team) – P3 in moto one before crashing multiple times in the second outing – and Wilson Todd (Honda Racing) on return.

The series will directly travel to QMP for the eighth and final round of the 2024 season, with Webster firmly in control now on 346 points, clear of Beaton on 332 with two motos left to run.
