North Queenslander Jack Miller will make a surprise cameo appearance in Sunday’s Toowoomba round of the Penrite ProMX Championship, the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing MotoGP star set to line up in the premier MX1 class.

Miller, 29, is currently at home in Townsville for the grand prix summer break and has made the stunning decision to try his hand at the highest level of Australian motocross.

“A little spontaneous for me to throw a leg over the dirt bike at a national-level event, but in keeping with my typical last-minute fashion I thought I’d give it a crack,” Miller commented.

“I’ve been watching the series closely this year and it has really impressed me. It’s always awesome to give my partners a little more than we planned by doing these unique one-off events away from the MotoGP circuit, not to mention filling my own cup by riding dirt bikes in general.”

In line with what he has done in the past when making one-off starts in the Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) during his international career, Miller will be on a Caterpillar-backed Thriller Motorsports KTM 450 SX-F.
