While Yamaha-supported Dean Ferris dominated MX1 once again at Queensland Moto Park, it was an up-and-down day for CDR Yamaha Monster Energy Team’s Aaron Tanti – sporting a special livery to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the YZ line – in round seven of the 2023 Penrite ProMX Championship, where an unfortunate incident with a lapped rider forced him out of the final moto prematurely, ultimately bringing an end to his MX1 title defence. MX2 saw Jayce Cosford (Yamalube Yamaha Racing) impress in his return from injury to claim P5 for the round, followed by Serco Yamaha’s Rhys Budd in sixth overall.
