To be equipped with factory-prepared YZ125 from official EMX125 team.
The Junior Motocross World Championship prospects of Jake Cannon will be boosted by support from the MJC Yamaha team in Romania this weekend.
MJC Yamaha Official EMX125, along with Yamaha Motor Australia and Yamaha Motor Europe, are all collaborating to ensure Cannon will have the best level of YZ125 available for the event.
“I was excited to hear that the MJC team have decided to support me in Romania with a team bike, as well as parts and back-up,” Cannon explained. “The team has an awesome reputation and are doing well over there, so I can’t thank them and Yamaha Australia enough for being able to make this happen for me.
“This is really my first time out of Australia for racing and I can’t wait to get over there and give it my best. We have an awesome team of riders heading to Romania and I hope we can all do well and show how good Australian junior motocross is.”
Cannon – who claimed the 125cc 13 to under 15 years Australian Junior Motocross Championship (AJMX) last year and is currently third in the national MX3 standings – will compete in Romania on a factory-prepared YZ125 from the MJC Yamaha team, in addition to receiving significant infrastructure support from the official effort.
Yamaha Junior Racing team regular Cannon forms part of a five-rider Team Australia line-up for the upcoming weekend, including Ky Woods (125cc), 85cc contenders Jack Nunn and Lachlan Allen, plus Zander Kruik in the 65cc category.
