Additional races to be included as part of round four overall results.
MX1 and MX3 will each be contested over three motos at the Maitland round of the 2023 Penrite ProMX Championship, the additional motos to take place on Saturday afternoon in what had already been scheduled as a two-day event.
The tragic opening round in Wonthaggi was immediately cancelled prior to any MX1 and MX3 motos taking place earlier this month, with an extra moto now per class added to round four of the season between 6-7 May.
Saturday at Maitland will feature practice and qualifying across each category, with a single race for both MX1 and MX3 also now scheduled. Sunday will run as initially intended per two-day event formats. That includes a morning warm-up for competitors, rather than the usual practice/qualifying sessions.
Motorcycling Australia has clarified that the third motos for MX1 and MX3 will be tallied towards the Maitland overall, making for a full three-moto format at the mid-point of the season. MX2 will remain a two-moto schedule, while MX85 will also be on-track during the weekend.
