Penultimate round of the 2022 season set for this Saturday night.
Saturday night’s Newcastle Triple Crown round of the 2022 Fox Australian Supercross Championship (AUSX) will stream live and free on 7plus in what is a major coup for the sport locally.
The opening round alongside the World Supercross Championship (WSX) in Melbourne aired live on the Seven Network-owned platform, before Adelaide’s first standalone stop of AUSX didn’t have a broadcast.
“We’re thrilled to be able to deliver the sport of supercross via the Seven Network to millions of homes all around Australia,” commented AME Group general manager of events and commercial, Ben Williams.
“Seven’s 7plus platform is incredibly successful and is something that continues to grow year-on-year, so for us to be able to align with them on this product and integrate supercross into their broadcasting is massive for the sport.”
The experienced combination of Lee Hogan and Danny Ham – also the Penrite ProMX commentators – will call all the action from the booth with their expert analysis at the series’ penultimate round. It’s scheduled to begin at 6:15pm AEDT on 26 November.
With live coverage returning for Newcastle this weekend under the promotion of series commercial rights-holder AME Group, it is unclear if the final round at Wagga Wagga next weekend will be broadcast at this point.
