Former Japanese champion confirmed for MX2 again next year.
Japanese talent Haruki Yokoyama will continue with Empire Kawasaki for the 2023 Penrite ProMX Championship, set to remain in MX2 after showing promise throughout this season.
Yokoyama completed his first full ProMX campaign in Australia this year, landing a podium in moto one at Maitland and third overall at Coffs Harbour on his way to sixth in the championship standings.
Currently, two rounds into the 2022 Australian Supercross Championship (AUSX), the number 386 is 17th position in the SX2 points after a crash in Melbourne and pushing through to 11th in Adelaide.
At this stage, it’s only motocross that has been confirmed for Yokoyama next season, with the eight-round 2023 Penrite ProMX Championship to commence at Wonthaggi on 5 March.
For 2022, Empire Kawasaki was represented by Yokoyama and Jai Constantinou in MX2 and SX2, while Jayden Rykers rode a 450 for the outfit outdoors before injury, and Jackson Richardson returned to represent the squad in SX1.
