Empire Kawasaki will pay tribute to the late ’90s in Sunday’s Penrite ProMX retro round at Coffs Harbour.

With a livery inspired by Jeff Emig’s 1997 AMA Supercross Championship-winning KX, the striking green and purple combination has proven a fan favourite since it’s unveil.

“We could not go past the look of this era for the retro round”, said Empire Kawasaki team owner/manager Tyson Cherry. “The late ’90s may not be the first thing to mind for many fans, but I grew up watching Jeff Emig and the ’90s was the era that drew me into motocross racing and the Kawasaki bikes.”

All three Empire Kawasaki team riders – Jayden Rykers in MX1, as well as MX2 duo Haruki Yokoyama and Jai Constantinou – will wear the retro livery at round six.
