Following its absence from round four of the 2022 Penrite ProMX Championship at Gillman, the BBR 102 Motorsports team of Matt Moss is set to return to the national stage at Maitland later this month.

It was decided for Moss to sit out South Australia last weekend in a bid to improve for the back-end of the series and the decision was made BBR’s Bayden Blanchette to reset and refocus on the second half of the year.

“We are now concentrating on the next race being Manjimup this weekend and the decision [to miss Gillman] was basically to take one step back to take two steps forward,” Blanchette told MotoOnline. “He was a bit crook as well, but will be racing this weekend in WA and then for the rest of ProMX.”

As part of a refreshed approach to the remaining rounds, Moss has started working closely with multi-time Australian national champion Craig Anderson and has continued to develop the team’s YZ450F. He’s currently 16th in the MX1 standings with four rounds remaining, claiming a best result of P9 overall at Wonthaggi’s opener.
