The 2021 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) calendar has been reshuffled once more, with the Nowra rounds postponed again in light of lockdown extensions around Greater Sydney.

This marks the second time the Nowra rounds have been postponed this year, as the original season-opening rounds were first pushed back to 28-29 August due to flooding in the region.

No date has been finalised to indicate when the Nowra rounds will now take place, with further information surrounding the rescheduled dates to be provided next week.

“AORC Management Team will work with Oyster Bay Motorcycle Club as the Nowra host club and continue to work with all the other clubs and partners of the current postponed events to rebuild the calendar,” according to a statement from Motorcycling Australia (MA).

“Motorcycling Australia is committed to ensuring the championship can continue and conclude with the maximum rounds in 2021. We thank the AORC community for their support and understanding during this difficult time for the championship. Further announcements on rescheduled dates will be provided next week.”

The next round of AORC is scheduled for 18-19 September at Kingston SE in South Australia, however, riders and teams wait cautiously as it is also under review.

“This event is also under review, with a final decision on this event to be no later than the end of August,” MA confirmed.
