Monster Energy Supercross will make its heralded return to Anaheim as the opening round of the 2022 season, a preview of next year’s schedule has revealed.

Anaheim 1 will be held within Angel Stadium following a year away due to the pandemic, the city that is synonymous with the start of the Supercross season.

With Supercross not taking place in California in 2021, this year’s opening round took place in Houston, Texas, and was won by Justin Barcia (TLD Red Bull GasGas) to make it three opening round wins in succession. He won A1 in 2019 and 2020.

While the complete 2022 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship schedule is yet to be unveiled, it has also been confirmed that Atlanta Motor Speedway will take place on 16 April following a successful debut this year.
