Standout rookie ruled out of Houston 3 following 'SuperTuesday' crash.
Troubles with his shoulder injured on Tuesday will put Chase Sexton on the sidelines for Houston 3’s third round of 2021 Monster Energy Supercross, the standout rookie returning to Florida for further assessment.
Sexton fell while setting a spectacular pace from the front in H2 and was attended to by the Alpinestars Mobile Medical team, however, it’s still to be determined what the extent of his injury is aside from being weak and with limited motion.
“It kills me to say I won’t be lining up Saturday for the third round of Supercross due to my crash Tuesday night,” he revealed. “I’ve been having problems with my right shoulder being weak and limited range of motion. Getting MRI done tomorrow back in Florida to see if there is any damage done internally – hoping to be back next weekend at 100 percent for Indianapolis.”
The Team Honda HRC newcomer qualified quickest at last week’s season-opener and was 14th in the main after encountering problems, while in round two he went on to win his first-career 450SX heat race prior to making a mistake in the sand section and hitting the ground heavily.
