Cooper Webb and Red Bull KTM have extended their contract for a further two years through the 2022 season, remaining on-board the factory 450 SX-F in Monster Energy Supercross and Lucas Oil Pro Motocross.

The 2019 450SX champion’s renewed deal was revealed during today’s KTM Factory Racing team intro at the brand’s Temecula headquarters, joining Marvin Musquin, whose deal was announced mid-last year.

“Cooper has a lot of experience coming into 2021 and we are very excited to see how things progress now that he has been with us for two years,” commented Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team manager Ian Harrison.

“Along with his mechanic Carlos Rivera, I feel we are all at a point where we understand each other’s strengths and that leads to better bike set-up and race day changes. Cooper also has a clean bill of health, so we are confident that he will be ready to keep the momentum rolling into 2021.”

Webb finished second in this year’s Supercross championship standings with four main event wins to his credit, but he pulled out of 450MX following Loretta Lynn’s with an aggravated back injury that has since recovered. The Red Bull KTM outfit will expand to three riders in 2021, with Max Vohland riding the 250 class alongside Webb and Musquin.
