Higlett moves to Junior World Trophy team as Ruprecht withdraws.
Four-time EnduroGP world champion Matthew Phillips has been drafted into the Recover8-backed Australian International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) squad amid a team shakeup for the 11-16 November event in Portugal.
KTM-mounted Phillips joins the defending champions World Trophy team, as Fraser Higlett (Husqvarna Enduro Racing Team) moves to the Junior World Trophy team in place of the outgoing Wil Ruprecht (Yamaha).
“I am very excited to get the call up after a tough year with injury, with this being my seventh ISDE,” said Phillips. “It’s come at the just the right time to get a jump start on some training ready for a big off-season.
“I would like to think I have a lot to offer the team in experience and to be a great mentor to our younger riders. I am especially looking forward to being able to help out. My riding is on the improve every day and I hope to be a valuable team member on the scoreboard as well.”
The World Trophy team will also consist of Daniel Sanders (Husqvarna Enduro Racing Team), Josh Green (Active8 Yamalube Yamaha Racing), and Luke Styke (Active8 Yamalube Yamaha Racing).
