Recently-crowned champion to take part in unique Las Vegas event.
Recently-crowned 2019 MXGP world champion Tim Gajser has confirmed he’ll contest this year’s Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas on 19 October.
The Honda HRC rider, who wrapped up his second premier class world title on Sunday at Imola with three rounds to spare, raced the Monster Energy Cup in 2017, however a heavy fall saw his night end prematurely.
“I am really looking forward to racing the Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas in October,” said Gajser. “It is a great event and I am excited to see how well I do on a supercross-style race track.
“I feel confident that I can we can go over to America and do a good job and I wish to thank Team HRC for working with me and helping me with this opportunity so that I’m as prepared as possible.
“Having raced the event in 2017, I know a little bit of what to expect but I am still very excited to try it again and feel like I will be able to enjoy the experience a lot more this time around.”
The Slovenian will complete the remaining rounds of the MXGP World Championship, along with the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations (MXoN) next month in Assen, The Netherlands, before flying to America to prepare for the unique event.
