Prado wins MX2 as Australia's Beaton finishes seventh overall.
Honda HRC’s Tim Gajser has continued his dominance in the 2019 MXGP World Championship, taking out yet another 1-1 performance at Semarang’s 12th round in Indonesia.
The former world champion was unstoppable at the second Indonesian stop of the series, extending his points lead to a staggering 173-point advantage.
Monster Energy Wilvo Yamaha Official MXGP’s Arnaud Tonus finished with runner-up honours, joined on the podium by Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing’s Jeremy Seewer. The top five was completed by Standing Construct KTM duo Glenn Coldenhoff and Max Anstie.
In the MX2 category, reigning champion and points Jorge Prado (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) put together another 1-1 scorecard, remaining undefeated in every moto he’s entered this season.
Teammate Tom Vialle (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) was second overall ahead of Calvin Vlaanderen (Honda HRC), while the top five was concluded by Team SM Action Yamaha’s Maxime Renaux and F&H Kawasaki’s Henry Jacobi.
Australian Jed Beaton (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing) was fourth in the opening moto, however an unfortunate incident in moto two where he was struck by a rider’s bike saw him forced to accept 11th for seventh overall. The MXGP World Championship now heads to Loket in Czech Republic on 28 July.
