Shoulder injury sidelines factory Husqvarna rider at RedBud.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Zach Osborne was forced to sit out RedBud’s seventh round of the 2019 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship after suffering a shoulder injury during practice last week, although he’s anticipating a return for Spring Creek in less than two weeks’ time.
Following a career-best performance at the previous round, the 450MX rookie was unable to line up for racing on Saturday despite attempting to ride the first practice session of the day.
“Gutted to miss the race today but it is what it is,” said Osborne. “We will pick up the pieces and be back as soon as possible. Thanks for the continued support from Rockstar Husky and all the people behind me who rally for me to be where I am!
“Always grateful to be where I am and have the opportunities that myself and my family have. There are tough knocks but the only option is to keep moving forward.”
The former 250MX champion is currently ranked sixth in the championship standings as the series heads into a brief break, returning on 21 July at Spring Creek.
