The MX Nationals heads to Wonthaggi, Victoria, just 1,900 kilometres from Jesse Dobson’s Sunshine Coast home base, for the second round of the championship. With two more weeks of preparation under his belt, the 22-year-old is confident of a strong weekend of racing against Australia’s best MX1 (450cc) racers.

Jesse Dobson: “This weekend will definitely test my fitness, but I’ve been working hard to catch up on the pre-season I missed out on. I’ve been feeling stronger on the bike every time I ride and it’s been bringing me a lot of confidence in my program, so I’m in a good headspace going into the race weekend. I like Wonthaggi because the soil is similar Coolum, near my house. It’s what I’ve grown up on and I know well. The goal for this weekend is to finish two solid races and ride my own race. If i do that, I know I’ll be satisfied, and be able to keep moving forward. ”

9:00am – PRACTICE / QUALIFYING – 25 Minute session
9:30am – SUPER POLE – 5 Minute session
11:45am – MX1 MOTO 1 – 16 Laps
2:20pm – MX1 MOTO 2 – 16 Laps
