Additional donation grants ticket holders a chance of winning world champion's YZ450F.
Four-time Monster Energy AMA Supercross champion Ryan Villopoto will support drought relief for Australian farmers when he appears at next month’s Monster Energy AUS-X Open inside Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena.
One lucky fan who attends the prestigious 9-10 November event will have the chance of winning the Yamaha YZ450F that the popular American will pilot at this year’s edition.
“My agent is Australian and he was telling me about the drought situation down in Australia,” Villopoto explained. “And when were talking about it almost immediately came on the TV on the news over here [in the US], so if it’s on our local news that means it’s a pretty bad situation.
“So me and my agent started spitballing ideas and thought that instead of me just coming down to Australia and just taking, we want to try to give back and help where I can.
“So thanks to my amazing partnership with Yamaha they’re going to throw in the bike I race at the AUS-X Open and we’re going to raffle it off through Buy a Bale and try and help out where we can with this drought crisis and help the farmers that are in need.”
The team at Buy a Bale and Rural Aid Australia have allowed anyone with a ticket to this year’s AUS-X Open on either day of competition to donate a minimum $20 to Buy a Bale via this unique AUS-X Open link will be in the running to win the world champion’s race bike.
In addition, Villopoto has also offered to donate his riding gear, boots and helmet as secondary prizes to this amazing major prize of the number two YZ450F as kindly donated by himself and Yamaha Motor Australia.
