Turn holeshots into moto wins with the 2019 CRF450R and CRF250R

Honda Australia press release:

The 2019 CRF450R and CRF250R will be available in Honda dealerships this month, both boasting improved engine performance, ultimately lightweight packages and enhanced rider comfort considerations, to ensure those holeshots convert to race wins.

The CRF450R offers class-leading power and handling backed by the kind of quality only Honda provides.

The improved engine performance for the 2019 CRF450R is achieved through a new combustion-chamber shape, as well as upgraded over-rev characteristics.

The frame and swingarm have also been revised for optimised rigidity and the front fork uses updated settings and low-friction oil, for improved performance, traction and handling.

Mix in a new braking system, updated with a lightweight front brake calliper featuring a large-piston design and the 19YM CRF450R is also lighter than its predecessor.

For added performance and increased comfort, the 2019 model features new ECU settings, HRC launch control and adjustable mounting positions for the new Renthal Fatbar® handlebar.

Honda’s most competitive, durable and formidable 250cc race machine to date, the CRF250R also has some exciting updates for 2019.

The CRF250R received a major overhaul for 2018 including a brand new DOHC engine, revised geometry including a lower centre of gravity for improved stability and traction as well as a re-designed dual exhaust and intake system.

For 2019, the CRF250R offers increased low-to-midrange engine performance thanks to a new cam profile based on feedback from the Team HRC factory MX2 race team, which provides strong off-corner
acceleration.

A new intake- and exhaust-port geometry where the right exhaust pipe is 50mm shorter, and the throttle body is 2mm smaller, improves low rpm engine power while also maintaining the CRF250Rs top-end performance.

Riders can select from three engine modes for ideal performance depending on conditions, while HRC launch control provides a steady stream of torque for excellent performance on race starts.

A Renthal Fatbar handlebar sits in a four-position-adjustable top clamp, while the braking system has been updated with a lighter, CRF450R-inspired calliper with larger piston for optimum braking performance.

Both the 2019 CRF450R and CRF250R have electric-start for easy, fast engine startup and black rims deliver a strong presence on and off the track. They also offer newly shaped footpegs, which are 20% lighter and shed mud more easily, giving the rider great feel and confidence in all riding conditions.

The CRF450R will be available for $11,999 MLP and the 2019 CRF250R for $10,999 MLP.
