Australian MXGP contender seeking improvements this weekend.
Todd Waters believes his confidence is creeping back following an additional two weeks on the bike after a testing weekend at Lommel, which saw him wind up 24th overall.
The MXGP World Championship returns to Frauenfeld in Switzerland this weekend, a brand-new venue for the Australian, who’s curious as to what the circuit will offer.
“Frauenfeld is a new track for me so I’m curious to see what it’ll be like,” Waters commented. “I have been training hard since my return from Lommel and I feel like I’m getting a bit of the confidence in my skills back.
“It’ll be important to see where we’re at once we get there. The team has done an amazing job and supported me the best possible way, so it’s up to me to make a difference now!”
With five rounds under his belt with the factory Honda HRC squad, the Queensland-native sits 27th in the premier class rankings. Waters has shown promise in his return to the world championship this year after being a late inclusion, however a collarbone injury in his first race back, along with an illness in Indonesia, has slowed down his progress in the prestigious series.
