Australian MXGP contender remaining open-minded in overseas rounds.
Australian Todd Waters says he’s motivated to improve ahead of this weekend’s 12th round of the MXGP World Championship in Pangkal Pinang, Indonesia.
The Honda HRC rider, who went 20-DNF in his return from injury at Ottobiano, explained he’s taking an open-minded approach into the two overseas stops of the series, while additional bike time in the last two weeks has provided him with a stronger platform.
“[I’m] looking forward to racing this weekend as we have had a good couple of weeks training on the bike,” Waters commented. “I’m really motivated to improve and love working together with the HRC guys. I’ve never been to Indonesia before, which adds to the excitement of this two-round trip. We’ll give our best and see where we end up on Sunday.”
Waters was drafted into the factory Honda squad to replace injured athlete Brian Bogers, however a collarbone injury sustained in his first appearance at Latvia resulted in a number of weeks on the sidelines.
