Plessinger extends 250MX points lead with consistent victory.
Defending Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Champion Eli Tomac (Monster Energy Kawasaki) has earned his fourth-consecutive victory of the season at High Point’s fourth round, tying on points with rival Marvin Musquin (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing).
The duo shared 1-2 moto scores, however Tomac’s race win in the final outing ultimately credited him the overall win ahead of the Frenchman to continue his winning streak.
Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing’s Justin Barcia earned the final spot on the podium with a 3-5 scorecard, edging out Ken Roczen (Honda HRC) and Justin Hill (Autotrader Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing), who concluded the top five.
The 250MX class received a shake up after shared points leader Jeremy Martin (Geico Honda) suffered an untimely mechanical failure while leading moto two, allowing Aaron Plessinger (Monster Energy Yamalube Star Yamaha) to completely secure the points lead and clinch the overall win.
Pro Circuit Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Austin Forkner broke through for an impressive runner-up placing ahead of Justin Cooper (Monster Energy Yamalube Star Yamaha), while Dylan Ferrandis (Monster Energy Yamalube Star Yamaha), on return from injury, was fourth over Geico Honda’s RJ Hampshire.
The next stop on the Pro Motocross calendar is set for 23 June at Muddy Creek Raceway in Tennessee.
