South Australian round to host all-new Triple Crown format.
It’s been revealed Gillman Speedway in South Australia has been selected to host round four of the 2018 Australian Supercross Championship through Troy Bayliss Events (TBE) on Saturday, 20 October.
Situated within the Port Adelaide precinct, just 13 kilometres from the heart of Adelaide, the venue is set to excite Supercross fans as a new Triple Crown format is introduced for the night show.
“Our team is looking forward to a huge night of racing and entertainment coming to Gillman Speedway,” said TBE director Troy Bayliss. “The atmosphere will be electric with every Supercross fan located just meters from the action.
“We are excited to announce the Triple Crown Format will be featured for the first time in South Australia ensuring fans see the best riders compete in exciting bar-to-bar action all night long.
“A big night of additional motorsport entertainment will be announced in coming months, I don’t want to give too much away just yet but I can’t wait to put a helmet on in front of the expected sell out crowd and I have a few friends keen to come and join me.”
It was announced last month that the promoter of the AUS-X Open, AUS SX Holdings, had assumed the commercial rights to the Australian Supercross Championship, which will see Troy Bayliss Event hosts the South Australian and Victorian rounds, while Scott Bannan Promotions will take care of the Queensland stops of the series.
