DPH Motorsport Husqvarna team owner Dale Hocking has expressed his satisfaction in celebrating the outfit’s first moto victory at the weekend’s Pirelli MX Nationals stop in Murray Bridge since transitioning to Husqvarna machinery in 2018.

Premier class contender Kade Mosig became the first person to defeat red-plate holder Dean Ferris (CDR Yamaha Monster Energy Team) during moto two in South Australia, holding off an attack from the two-time champion to bring his dominant race winning streak to an end.

It’s a confidence inspiring result for both Mosig and DPH Motorsport, who up until the weekend were yet to experience a triumph as the official factory team for the Swedish brand.

“Heading into the race weekend we were confident of a good result, so to take a race win feels amazing,” said an ecstatic Hocking. “Kade’s riding is strong and it was a dominant ride in the second race leading from start to finish. The break in the season is an opportunity for us to refine what we’re doing, analyse the first five rounds and prepare to fire into the second half of the season.”

The win promoted Mosig to third overall on the day, his second-consecutive round on the box, while he’s now positioned fifth in the championship standings. The MX Nationals will recommence on 1 July at Conondale in Queensland following an extended break in the series.
