MX2 World Championship contender returns from hand injury.
Honda Pro Racing has confirmed Australian Hunter Lawrence will return to racing this weekend at Latvia’s seventh round of the 2018 MX2 World Championship.
Lawrence initially injured his hand during timed practice at Trentino’s fourth stop of series in Italy, ruling him out of the weekend and consequently the following two rounds.
The 114 Motorsport Honda rider lodged a number of impressive performances in the opening three rounds, including a podium at the season-opener in Argentina.
Lawrence publicly shared his vision to earn world title upon signing with Honda prior to transitioning to the AMA pro circuit in 2019 with Geico Honda, however the unfortunate injury will deny him of that opportunity.
