Alex Salvini (Husqvarna) and Steve Holcombe (Team Beta Factory Racing) have each taken victories during the two stages of Spain’s second round of the Maxxis EnduroGP World Championship.

Salvini claimed a narrow win on day one, edging out regular contenders Eero Remes (TM Factory Racing) and Loic Larrieu (Outsiders Yamaha Racing), as Australian Matthew Phillips (CH Racing Sherco) wound up in 10th.

In the E1 standings, it was Outsiders Yamaha Racing’s Jamie McCanney who took top honours ahead of Bradley Freeman (Beta) and David Guarneri (Honda), while the E2 class saw a repeat of the outright results, with Salvini beating home Remes and Larrieu. Phillips mustered up fourth in the division.

Daniel McCanney (Gas Gas Factory Team) bested Holcombe in E3, while it was Christophe Nambotin (Gas Gas Factory Team) who concluded the top three.

Holcombe rose to the occasion during the second stage, clinching victory in the EnduroGP class over Jamie McCanney and stage one victory Salvini, as it again proved to be a challenging one for Phillips, who completed the day in 11th.

Jamie McCanney topped the E1 division for the second day running, defeating Freeman and Antoine Basset (Gas Gas Factory Team), while E2 belonged to Salvini followed by Larrieu and Remes, as Phillips lodged a sixth place finish.

Rounding out the weekend in E3 was Holcombe, Nambotin and Anthony Geslin (Beta). Remes now controls the EnduroGP standings as the series heads to Portugal this weekend for the third stop of the series.
