Osborne strengthens 250SX East points lead with round 15 win.
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Marvin Musquin has claimed a thrilling victory at Foxborough’s 15th round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship, taking down Eli Tomac (Monster Energy Kawasaki) in the dying stages in a desperate bid for the top spot.
After leading much of the main event, Tomac was forced to accept second, remounting before third place’s Jason Anderson (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing) was able to capitalise on the opportunity.
Anderson still leads the championship by 34 points, as it was Blake Baggett (Rocky Mountain ATV/MC KTM) and Dean Wilson (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing) who closed out the the top five. Australian Chad Reed (Husqvarna) finished in a respectable 10th.
In the 250SX East main event, Zach Osborne (Rocstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing) strengthened his points with another victory to his name, beating home Jordan Smith (TLD Red Bull KTM) and Kyle Peters (Autotrader Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing).
Completing the top five was Geico Honda’s Jeremy Martin and TLD Red Bull KTM’s Sean Cantrell. The next stop on the calendar is scheduled for 28 April at Salt Lake City.
