Penultimate SuperEnduro victory to Blazusiak in Spain
All-KTM podium sweep has Webb leading points with one round remaining.
Red Bull KTM’s Taddy Blazusiak has claimed his second overall victory of the 2018 SuperEnduro World Championship by winning the penultimate round of the series in Bilbao, Spain.
Teammate Jonny Walker carded his second-consecutive runner-up result, as FMF KTM Factory Racing’s Cody Webb completed the all-KTM podium in third.
With the battle for title honours heating up, KTM’s current championship leader Webb and the returning Blazusiak won all three finals between them. It was Webb who won finals one and two, while Blazusial clinched the overall by topping the final outing.
Blazusiak’s victory reduces his deficit in the championship standings to just 17 points ahead of the final round in Sweden remaining, with Webb leading the way from Blazusiak and Billy Bolt (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna) currently third in the standings.
The 2018 SuperEnduro World Championship concludes with the fifth and final round in Lidkoping, Sweden, 31 March.
