Rally regular set to make a number of appearances with Team Triton.
Dakar Rally winner Toby Price will contest the Adelaide 500’s opening round of the 2018 SuperUtes Series on 1-4 March, confirmed as part of Team Triton for selected events during the season.
The Red Bull KTM regular will make a part-time transition to four wheels in the Mitsubishi Motors-supported entry, taking part in the official test at Queensland Raceway earlier this week.
“I’m stoked to be a part of the Team Triton SuperUte campaign with the support of Mitsubishi Motors Australia,” Price said. “I’m really looking forward to putting in the work, learning more about circuit racing and having some exciting weekends. It’s going to be a good time and I’m aiming to keep it on four wheels and get some good results.”
Price will be competing in all SuperUte events that are non-conflicting with his rally priorities. Previous V8 Ute Series front-runner Craig Dontas will also race for Team Triton, which is operating with the backing of Mitsubishi Motors Australia and Sieders Racing, with Mitsubishi supplying Triton utes and parts in a two-year deal.
