DPH Motorsport press release:
Set to unveil a new colour scheme when the bikes roll out in Sydney, all 3 of DPH Motorsports racers are looking forward to the biggest race weekend of the year – The AUS-X Open!
In a somewhat dramatic turn of events, Wilson Todd now finds himself unofficially at the top of the SX2 table with Gavin Faith returning injured to the US, while Hayden Mellross will be on the ground at the event to meet with fans and support his team mates. SX1 racer Kade Mosig.
Team Owner, Dale Hocking: “It’s exciting to be back at an indoor venue where the crowd is up close and the racing is tight” said Dale. “Hayden is pretty gutted to not be racing, I think we all know that he’d be challenging for the win if he was, but Wilson has continued to step it up. I’m proud of the whole team, its incredible to field 2 riders in a competitive class and for them to both prove to be the riders to beat on the best equipment! I’m looking forward to the weekends racing and in particular to see Kade head indoors. It’s no secret he thrives on the indoor tracks and after the strong race last round, I believe he has what it takes to be up there again”.
Wilson Todd: “I’m really confident heading into AUS-X. My preparation heading into the series was strong and being able to ride with both Kade and Hayden really helped to lift my speed. I feel for both Hayden and Gavin, having to sit out due to injury but that’s a part of racing and we’ve all been there. I’ve got a job to do, and I know that I can do it”.
Kade Mosig: “Coming into these 2 rounds I’ve got some momentum” said Mosig. “I love the indoor tracks and I love supercross, and after finally getting on the podium last round, I’m looking forward to getting out on track and racing in front of a packed stadium!”
Hayden Mellross: “I can’t explain how much I wish I was racing this weekend” said Mellross. “I love this sport, and to not line up at the biggest race on calendar kills me but the body is not quite 100% ready. I know my bike will be used as the Whip Bike, and the new colour scheme looks unreal, so since I can’t ride it, make sure you come down and send it sideways for me!”
The entire DPH Motorsport team will be in the centre of all the action at the AUS-X Open in Sydney for rounds 4 & 5 of the Australian Supercross Championship. Make sure you head over to meet all 3 riders, jump on the whip bike for a quick pic with the Thor girls and enjoy a great weekend of racing!
